It all started in the hospital May 26,1993. A princess was born name Sabryia Rashanda Terry. I was born to Delores and Bobby Terry. Eleven months passed in I did my first step. By my 1st Birthday I was a pro at walking. Being a cuddling little baby was the good ole days.
I started Mt. Airy church of God preschool when I turned three and stayed there until the age of four then moved on in graduated. Started kindergarten in a school called John F. Mc. Closkey for six years. During that time I danced on the weekends at Brenda Lee Dance Studio for five years. At the same time I did cheer leading.
.
Compared to Elementary Middle School was a big step for me. Middle School went by so fast but a lot of me changed. In sixth grade I went to Morris E Leeds. Then I moved on in seventh grade to Renaissance Charter School. Went there for two years. Graduated with A's and B's and thoughts of going to high school.
Now high school wasn't a major step for me. It seemed like I was still in Middle school. But a bit different. High school is okay I guess but just wish it could of been better. Moving on to bigger and better things in life.
In my future plans I will like to attend to either of these colleges Harvard, Clark Atlanta University, Morgan State or Yale. Have a lot of things to achieve in the next couple of years in ready for them. I want my occupation to be a Obstetrician a.k.a. OB/GYN. My life will be sweet.

Being part of the Women Convention was not only good for me but for every female in the 9th grade. It changed my outlook about alot of things that go on with women. I learned a lot more things now and I have an different emotion about everything we talked about. I will do everything different like don't fall into boys traps or don't fall in love so easy. Not only that i will achieve my goals before i help somebody else out.
It's important for us women to meet and discuss things about our life. Only because men don't know what women go through so the wouldn't understand were we coming from. It's also important for men to meet up to together because women might not understand what they go through in life.
The women convention was such a good thing to start because you just so comfortable and you can realte to each and everyone in the room. A lot of girls go through way more things then me and I learned that we all have different life's and some are better than others. But than the ones that have a crappy life is the main one that are always smiling and happy waiting for something to go right for once.
I learned so much that day about women and men. Good friends and bad ones. Most of all I learned how to have a lot of self-confidence.

Once upon a time there lived a lonely middle age women. She wasn't much of an people person. Her name was Kate. She was born into an unwealthy family. Kate's parents died when she was only 14 and from there she was on her own. She moved with her aunt and uncle which went good for a while.Years went by and eventually her aunt and uncle had past also. Leaving her with sadness, the house and even the bills. She struggled she even worked the 9-5 but that still didn't pay off. After she got off her day job she worked at night from 7 t0 12. With no time for herself she began to stress out. Kate had only one friend and her name was Beth. Beth was always there for her even paid a lot of her bills. Kate always wanted to pay her back but she wouldn't let her.
Six months after her misery she moved in with her bestfriend Beth because she had lost the house. Beth was kind of on the weathly side in which she knew how to spend her money wisely. Eventhough Kate did the same but Beth had an husband to help her out. So Kate lived with Beth for about 2 months. One day Beth and Kate was talking and Beth brung up Kate's love life. Beth had an handsome cousin who was an millionare . She didn't want Kate to know he was rich but it seem like they was both missing something in thier life which was love.
Beth ask Kate will she ever consider going on a date with him. Of course Beth had to convince her. Kate begin to get very nervous. The date was offical the big day was coming up. Kate's went and got her nails and hair done the typical girl thing. The big day finally came and when he showed up her heart begin to beat fast. With total shock she realize he was an soul melter aka an honk. He told her his name which was Brian and they went on and on. I seems like they had a lot in common and from that moment on they feel in love.
Kate and Brian was seeing each other for about one year and then Brian popped the big question. { Will you marry me}. Kate was feeled with joy and of course she said "yes". Remembering she still didn't know he was rich. They started planing the wedding. Everything was going great. Beth was so proud. One day Brian and Kate was at the wedding planner house and Brian ask her to pack her things and come live with him. She thought about it. She never saw his house, but she just went on and did what she had to do. While they was driving to Brian's house she realize that they was in the rich neighborhood. She looked at him with and confused face and then smile. They pulled up to a nice house with maids and butlers at their service. Kate broke down in tears she couldn't take all the excitement. She went from almost poor to an millionare. Her mind was just somewhere else. She did not know that man had so much money. Kate throught she was a poor women saved by an king.
Kate life was so sweet. Brian and her got married. Had three kids and they lived happily ever after along with Beth.....lol

1. How do power and authority change hands over the course of the play?
Power and authority change hands over the course of the play because towards the end of the play they got more confidence and they didnt care what the white people thought about of me. They had more pride to speak what they felt.
2.Discuss how minor characters such as George Murchison, Willy Harris, and Mr. Lindner represent the ideas against which the main characters react.
They made some of of the main characters angry and they in some type of way change their life because once the end of the p;ay end they left all of them alone.
3.What sort of statement does Hansberry seem to be making about race? Does she make more than one statement? If so, do these statements conflict with each other?

March 26, 2008 homework
1. How does the idea of assimilationism become important?
It's important because it give African American people an idea to to da the same thing that other cultures can do. Basically it just like giving different races an opportunity to do what others do.
2. Discuss the title of the play. How does it relate to the dreams of each of the characters?
A Raisin in the Sun title is like really explaning how hard it was for black people to get it good in life. But they used a Raisin for example so people can get a better idea on how black people struggle.
3. Think about the role of money in the play. How does it affect different characters?
The money affected the characters in good and bad ways. Like for example Walter wanted to do something different with the money but the rest of the family thought otherwise. But at the end the money was still a good thing.
